A snipet today from The China Study. My goal with these snipets is awareness, possibly good health, longevity?..! Not everyone can go PlantBased 100%, but maybe 50% of the time? or part of the time? It’s a bit of healthierness…(if that’s a word;)). Which is the biggest reason why I put these recipes out there, so we have the option to still REALLY enjoy, indulge!…who wants to survive on carrot sticks?!…I don’t!…..speaking of which I’m still craving more of those sliders ;):

If you are male in this country you have a 47% chance of getting cancer. If you are female you have a 38% lifetime chance of getting cancer. Adopting a healthy diet and lifestyle can prevent the majority of cancers in the US. Old age can and should be graceful and peaceful.
Almost a 1/3 of the adults 20 years and over are obese. One is considered obese if he or she is carrying more than a 1/3 of a person above and beyond a healthy weight.
1 out of 13 Americans now has diabetes, and it continues to rise. If we don’t heed the importance of diet, millions of additional Americans will unknowingly develop diabetes and suffer consequences, including blindness, limb amputation, cardiovascular disease, kidney disease and pre-mature death.
Both diabetes and obesity often forecast deeper more serious health problems like heart disease, cancer and stroke. 2 of the most frightening statistics show that diabetes among people in their 30’s has increased 70% in less than 10 years. Such an incredibly fast growth may become an unbearable burden on a health system that is already strained.
But the most pervasive killer in our culture is Heart Disease. It will kill 1 out of 3 Americans. And the most dramatic finding is that heart disease can be prevented and reversed by diet, a plant based diet.’
Maybe we could make a different meal choice here and there…and see what happens…?
